I had thought I would be spending my time this spring visiting and revisiting many of the fascinating and beautiful places not far from my home. In my last blog post I promised to share those day trips with you.

Unfortunately, since then the number of COVID-19 cases in France has risen dramatically and the government has once again decided to confine us to barracks. We can go out to buy food and take exercise as long as we don’t go further than ten kilometers (six miles) from home. This has obviously been a blow to my plans to get out and about.
So for the time being I shall be pottering at home, enjoying the view from the roof garden and tending the plants while planning the trips I’ll take when, in a month’s time, we’re free to move around again.

We have all had to be patient this year. I’ll be patient just a little longer knowing that I’ll soon be here, there and everywhere again.

Stay well. Looking forward to traveling with you.
